About this role
PlanOmatic is looking for photographers to shoot single-family rental properties across the Charlotte area on a flexible, part-time basis. You'd photograph residential interiors and exteriors, capturing both traditional photos and 3D tours during 30–60 minute on-site visits. The work is straightforward: shoot, upload through the app, and hand off to their editing team—no client communication or post-production required on your end. Compensation ranges from $35 to $75 per property.
This role suits someone with a solid photography foundation who can work independently and meet deadlines. You'll need demonstrable experience (real estate, architectural, or interior work preferred), proficiency shooting manual mode with off-camera flash, and a portfolio to submit with your application. The technical requirements are standard: a DSLR or mirrorless camera, wide-angle lens, off-camera flash with diffuser, tripod, and a reliable vehicle. You'll also need photographer's liability insurance and a valid driver's license.
The appeal here is flexibility and simplicity. If you're looking to fill gaps in your schedule with straightforward gigs that don't involve managing clients directly, and you already have the gear and insurance in place, this could be a good fit. Keep in mind that applications without portfolio samples won't be reviewed, so have your work ready before you apply.
