About this role
SageSure, a major managing general underwriter specializing in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is looking for a Senior Property Claims Adjuster to join its remote Claims team. You'd handle the full lifecycle of property claims—from policy review and recorded statements through inspection assignment, reserve updates, estimate preparation, and settlement negotiation. The role requires you to communicate clearly with customers, contractors, and public adjusters, document findings thoroughly, and ensure compliance with regulations and internal processes. You'd also serve as a technical resource for less experienced staff and contribute to catastrophe response efforts when needed.
To succeed here, you'll need at least five years of property claims experience, advanced estimating skills, and a current adjuster license (or eligibility to obtain one). Strong written and verbal communication, solid organizational abilities, and genuine empathy in your interactions are essential. Field claims experience and a background in catastrophe-focused environments are highly valued, as are relevant professional designations. This is a desk-based position, though you should be prepared for occasional overtime and potential deployment during major events.
SageSure has grown significantly since 2009 and now manages over $3.2 billion in premium across 16 states, protecting nearly a million policyholders. The company has been named a Best Place to Work in Insurance four years running and operates a distributed workforce of more than 1,000 employees across 12 offices. If you're drawn to a profitable, growing organization with startup energy and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, this could be a solid fit.
