About this role
Working as a Bar Attendant at The Ritz-Carlton Detroit means supporting the full service cycle in a luxury hotel environment. You'll handle opening and closing procedures, maintain bar stations and service areas to high standards, manage inventory of glassware, ice, and supplies, and keep the workspace clean and organized throughout your shift. The role requires physical stamina—you'll be on your feet for extended periods, lifting items up to 50 pounds, reaching overhead and below knee level, and moving safely across various surfaces including stairs and ramps.
Guest interaction is central to the position. You'll welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and maintain the professional service standards The Ritz-Carlton is known for, while handling soiled wares and keeping the bar area presentable. You'll also need to follow all safety and security protocols, report any incidents or hazards, and complete required safety training. The role suits someone with strong attention to detail, physical capability for the demands of bar work, and a genuine commitment to hospitality—no prior bar or hospitality experience is required, though you should be comfortable with the physical requirements and ready to work a full-time in-office schedule.
