About this role

Weinstein Properties is hiring a Maintenance Technician to handle apartment turnovers and general upkeep at their Richmond community. You'll prepare vacant units for new residents, respond to maintenance work orders, and help maintain the grounds and common areas alongside a small team. The role is straightforward hands-on work—using tools, lifting materials, climbing ladders, and working both indoors and outdoors across seasons.

The position requires at least a year of residential maintenance experience and a willingness to develop HVAC skills on the job; EPA certification is valued but not mandatory if you're open to training. You should be comfortable with basic computer systems, able to work independently and as part of a team, and reliable enough to handle an on-call rotation. The schedule is standard Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Compensation starts at $20 per hour ($21 with EPA certification), plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus, $150 weekly on-call pay, holiday premiums, and quarterly performance bonuses up to $980. Benefits include rent discounts, PTO, paid holidays, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) matching, and an employee assistance program. Weinstein Properties emphasizes stability and internal advancement, which may appeal if you're looking to build a longer-term career in property maintenance.
