About this role

UL Solutions' GMA division is seeking a Senior Knowledge Specialist to serve as a regulatory expert and internal resource on medical device cybersecurity compliance across multiple jurisdictions and evolving frameworks. You would spend your time researching and synthesizing global regulations—from FDA and EU MDR requirements to emerging standards like the Cyber Resilience Act and AI Act—then translating that complexity into clear guidance for customers, business development teams, and internal stakeholders. The role blends research and content development (publishing reports, maintaining regulatory databases, creating executive summaries) with mentorship, training delivery, and strategic advisory work to identify new service opportunities in cybersecurity, data governance, and emerging tech regulations.

This position suits someone with 5–7 years of experience in medical device regulation, cybersecurity compliance, or a related TIC (testing, inspection, certification) field, ideally with an engineering or information security background. You need strong analytical skills to connect regulatory frameworks to business problems, confidence in explaining complex concepts clearly, and the ability to work across ambiguity and multiple geographies. Program management experience is valued, as is demonstrated influence and customer focus.

The role is full-time and in-office, with a salary of $90,000–$110,000, a 10% bonus target, standard health and wellness benefits, and 27 days of paid time off annually.
