About this role
Emerson Electric is seeking a leader to oversee special pricing and costing operations for control valve products across the Middle East and Africa region from their Dubai office. You would manage a team of pricing engineers while owning the full spectrum of activities—from evaluating technical specifications and bills of materials to developing competitive proposals and ensuring profitability. This requires deep knowledge of control valve manufacturing, costing methodologies, and gross profit analysis, combined with the ability to translate complex engineering and commercial requirements into accurate, defensible pricing.
The role demands strong cross-functional collaboration. You'll work regularly with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to optimize costs, evaluate alternative sourcing and production methods, and support strategic commercial decisions. Beyond day-to-day pricing execution, you'll drive process improvements through automation and digitalization, analyze variances between estimated and actual performance, and build standardized costing models and guidelines for the region.
To succeed, you need at least eight years in control valve, flow control, or industrial automation industries, with direct experience in special pricing, costing, or order engineering. A degree in mechanical, production, instrumentation, or chemical engineering is required. You should be comfortable reading technical drawings and specifications, understand costing and margin analysis deeply, and have strong analytical and communication skills. Experience with global supply chains, ERP systems, and process improvement methodologies would strengthen your candidacy.
