About this role

Carolina Homecare Solution Inc is seeking a Volunteer Training Director to build and oversee their volunteer program supporting kupuna (elders) receiving in-home care on Oahu. You'd develop training curricula and materials, lead onboarding and ongoing education, coordinate volunteer scheduling and client matching, and manage program documentation. The role also involves coaching volunteers, monitoring compliance, and driving engagement and retention across the program. This is a hybrid position (20–40 hours per week) and is grant-funded, meaning it's contingent on continued funding.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in education, human services, healthcare administration, social work, or a related field, with at least two years of experience in training, volunteer coordination, program management, or workforce development. Experience working with older adults or in healthcare or nonprofit settings is valued. You'll need strong facilitation and presentation skills, the ability to create engaging educational materials, solid organizational and record-keeping abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and training or scheduling software. Above all, this role calls for genuine compassion and the capacity to build positive relationships with volunteers and the people they serve.

This position suits someone energized by teaching, program coordination, and volunteer management who wants to make a direct impact in elder care. The $31–36k salary range reflects a full-time role with an organization recognized as a 2026 Home Care Pulse Employer of Choice.
