About this role
Running night operations at a major hotel requires someone who can balance competing priorities—managing guest services, overseeing security, and keeping the team coordinated through the quieter hours. At Hilton Berlin, the Assistant Night Manager role centers on maintaining service standards and operational control when the day shift hands over. You'll handle the full spectrum of night duties: check-ins and check-outs, night audit and billing, room assignments, guest complaints, and staff coordination. Security responsibility is equally important, involving access control, patrols, and system monitoring to ensure the property stays secure throughout your shift.
The position calls for hospitality training or a degree, backed by one to two years of hands-on experience at a similar level in a comparable hotel. Beyond technical competence, Hilton is looking for someone organized and goal-oriented, with strong communication skills and a safety-conscious approach. You need to work well independently and as part of a team, speak fluent German and English, and be comfortable with standard hotel software systems. Reliability and the ability to prioritize under pressure matter here—night management is about anticipating problems and solving them before they escalate.
Hilton offers the typical hospitality package: competitive pay under the collective bargaining agreement, vacation entitlement, uniforms provided, and access to their global learning platform. Beyond that, you get employee discounts across hotels worldwide, perks in retail and travel, subsidized meals in the staff restaurant, and regular professional development. The company emphasizes culture and career progression, positioning this as a potential stepping stone rather than just a night shift job.
