    About this role

On's IT Manager role centers on managing technology infrastructure and teams across multiple hotel properties in South Africa. You'll balance strategic IT initiatives with hands-on technical work—designing and executing system implementations like server refreshes and point-of-sale installations, monitoring network performance and security, troubleshooting user issues, and ensuring compliance with Hilton Technology Network standards. This is a full-time, in-office position that requires both technical depth and operational awareness of how IT decisions affect guest and staff experiences.

The role demands strong leadership capabilities. You'll recruit, train, and mentor an IT team while conducting performance reviews and fostering professional development. Equally important is your ability to collaborate across departments—working with Area Directors, property management, and end users to keep systems running smoothly and minimize downtime. The position suits someone with solid networking and systems administration experience who can move between strategic planning and tactical problem-solving, and who thrives in a hospitality environment where reliability directly impacts operations.
