About this role
Hicuity Health operates the nation's largest telemedicine program for critical care, and this role puts you at the center of that work—monitoring and supporting ICU patients across multiple hospitals from a remote operations center. You'll work nights (6 p.m. to 6 a.m., three 12-hour shifts per week) as part of a collaborative team, performing remote assessments, detecting early signs of clinical decline, and communicating findings to intensivists and bedside staff. The work demands strong critical thinking and independent problem-solving in real time, combined with the ability to synthesize patient data from monitors, charts, and video observation into clear clinical recommendations.
This position requires a current RN license and a minimum of six years of ICU, PACU, Level 1 ED, or step-down unit experience. You'll need active ACLS and BLS certifications, proficiency with Windows systems, and a track record of effective collaboration with physicians. A BSN is preferred, and either current CCRN certification or a commitment to obtaining it within your first year is expected. Beyond clinical skills, the role calls for someone comfortable learning new software platforms and managing the cognitive load of monitoring multiple critically ill patients simultaneously.
Hicuity Health offers competitive base pay with shift differentials, generous paid time off, and full benefits for full-time staff. The remote work arrangement and self-scheduling structure appeal to nurses seeking flexibility without sacrificing the intensity and impact of critical care nursing.
