Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
- Ensure facility safety and compliance: Support the maintenance of the hotel’s buildings, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Supervise maintenance operations: Assign and oversee daily maintenance tasks, ensuring thorough documentation of completed work in the property management system.
- Supervise and develop the team: Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and performance
- Oversee contractor work: Supervise external contractors and inspect completed work for quality and compliance
- Respond to service requests: Ensure maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergency situations are addressed promptly and efficiently
- Supervise and develop the team: Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and performance
- Equipment Maintenance & Efficiency: Repair and maintain all hotel systems and equipment, ensuring efficiency and informing management about deficiencies and stock control needs.
- Cost Management: Adhere to departmental operating expenses, evaluate products for reuse, monitor stock levels, and ensure the operation runs according to budgets and profit margins.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
- HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing/Gas Fitter trade-qualified advantageous
- Must have sound general Engineering knowledge and trade background
- At least 5 years in a Service Technician position or similar position with working experience in a 5-star hotel.
About this role
On is seeking an Engineering Executive for its Pune property to lead maintenance operations across all building systems and hotel infrastructure. You'll manage a maintenance team, oversee daily repairs and preventive work on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems, and ensure the property meets all local and federal compliance standards. The role also involves supervising external contractors, responding to guest service requests and emergencies, controlling departmental costs, and maintaining detailed documentation of all work completed.
This position requires at least five years as a Service Technician or equivalent in a luxury hotel environment, combined with a solid engineering background and trade qualifications—ideally in HVAC, electrical work, or plumbing. You'll need strong supervisory skills to train and develop your team, alongside the ability to balance quality workmanship with budget discipline and operational efficiency. The role is full-time and based on-site in Pune.
