About this role
On's Assistant Manager Front Desk role in Gurugram is a full-service operations position that blends guest-facing hospitality with team leadership and financial oversight. You'll manage daily front office operations across rotating shifts, overseeing check-in and check-out processes, room allocation, and guest requests while supervising and scheduling staff. The role demands someone who can balance competing priorities—maintaining high service standards, resolving guest issues on the spot, coordinating with housekeeping and security, and handling administrative tasks like occupancy reports and revenue management.
Beyond the desk itself, you'll be responsible for staff performance management, learning and development, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and safety procedures. The position also involves financial awareness, including monitoring costs, assisting with budgets, and applying yield management techniques to optimize revenue. You'll maintain guest histories, build relationships with corporate clients, and act as the primary contact point for guest concerns throughout their stay.
This is a demanding role suited to someone with hospitality experience who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and can lead a team while staying detail-oriented on operations. You'll need flexibility for shift rotations and willingness to step into other areas as needed. If you're motivated by direct guest interaction, enjoy problem-solving under pressure, and have the organizational skills to manage both people and processes, this could be a strong fit.
