Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Supervise recreation operations: Oversee recreation-related pool, fitness center, and food & beverage services, activities, and programming
- Lead the recreation team: Train, schedule, and supervise team members
- Oversee recreation set up: Manage chair and cabana setup, towel service, and personalized poolside amenities; oversee furniture setup for special events
- Deliver exceptional service: Monitor service quality, engage with guests to assess satisfaction, and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
- Manage inventory and supplies: Oversee linen, amenities, and food & beverage inventory to ensure proper stock levels and minimize loss
- Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing

About this role
Hotel del Coronado is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to manage the resort's pool, fitness, and food & beverage operations in Coronado. You'll oversee daily recreation activities and programming, lead and schedule a team of staff members, and handle the logistics of pool setup, cabana service, and special event furniture arrangements. The role requires close attention to guest satisfaction—you'll monitor service quality, engage directly with guests, and address concerns as they arise—while also managing inventory across linens, amenities, and food & beverage to prevent loss and maintain proper stock levels.
This position demands strong operational discipline and a commitment to health, safety, and regulatory compliance. You'll be responsible for ensuring the recreation team adheres to sanitation standards, alcohol awareness protocols, and guest and employee wellbeing requirements.
