About this role
On is seeking an Engineering Intern to join its hotel facility maintenance team in Geneva on a full-time, in-office basis. You'll work alongside experienced technicians and the Administrative Technician, gaining hands-on exposure across multiple trades—carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and masonry. Your day-to-day will involve responding to guest service requests, assisting with repairs and preventive maintenance inspections, documenting work completed, and accompanying technicians during both routine and emergency repairs in guest rooms and throughout the property.
Beyond technical work, you'll learn the operational side of the Engineering Department, including supplier management, order tracking, and team scheduling. The role expects you to maintain workshop organization, follow health and safety protocols rigorously, and support colleagues with flexibility as hotel needs shift. Success here depends on a methodical, well-organized approach; genuine teamwork; a proactive attitude; and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
