About this role
MY Project USA is looking for an experienced nonprofit leader to oversee multiple programs and drive operational excellence across the organization's youth development, food access, healthcare, and family support initiatives in Columbus. In this Director of Programs role, you would manage budgets, grant compliance, and performance metrics while building accountability systems across departments. You'd also recruit and coach staff and volunteer leaders, coordinate with community partners and funders, and represent the organization at key meetings and events. This is hands-on leadership—you'd move between strategic planning and solving operational challenges on the ground.
The ideal candidate has at least five years in nonprofit program or operations management, ideally with experience overseeing multiple teams or departments in complex organizations. A bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business, social services, education, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience counts. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working independently, and building strong relationships across staff, volunteers, schools, funders, and community partners. Prior experience in youth development, workforce development, food access, public health, or community-based nonprofit work is a plus.
The position is full-time and based in Columbus, with a required Tuesday through Saturday schedule (Saturday availability is essential). The salary starts at $60,000 and includes paid time off, professional development, and leadership growth opportunities, though employer-sponsored health insurance is not currently available.
