Shields Health Solutions is redefining patient care through specialty pharmacy. We’re hiring a Pharmacy Liaison—a Specialty Pharmacy Technician who will work onsite in a hospital clinic or hospital office building to support patients with medication adherence and personalized pharmacy services. Monday through Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM schedule. Salary based role plus annual bonus!
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with clinic teams to deliver hands-on patient care.
- Process prior authorizations, resolve insurance issues, and support financial assistance.
- Educate patients on pharmacy services and assist with specialty and retail prescriptions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to process improvements.

What You Need:
- State-registered Pharmacy Technician; CPhT preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician; High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication, organization, and tech skills

Solid computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for communication, documentation, and data management, as well as, navigating the internet and web-based platforms. Shields Health Solutions is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to serve as a Pharmacy Liaison in a hospital clinic setting in Spartanburg. You'll work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, collaborating directly with clinic teams to support patients on specialty medications. The role centers on patient-facing work: educating patients about pharmacy services, processing prior authorizations, navigating insurance coverage, connecting people to financial assistance programs, and managing both specialty and retail prescriptions alongside accurate documentation.
This position requires a state-registered Pharmacy Technician credential (CPhT preferred) with at least five years of hands-on pharmacy experience. You'll need strong organizational and communication skills, solid proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based platforms, and the kind of empathy and integrity that makes patients feel supported. The role will assess your computer competency during the pre-employment process.
