About this role
NetBrain, a leader in network automation serving over 2,500 enterprises globally, is seeking a Chief Information Officer to build and lead its IT organization from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO as a member of the executive leadership team, you'll own enterprise systems strategy, information security, data governance, and IT operations across a distributed workforce. This is a hands-on role that demands both strategic vision and operational execution—modernizing the internal technology stack, managing vendor relationships and IT budgets, and ensuring the infrastructure supports the company's growth and compliance obligations.
The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of progressive IT leadership, with at least five years running enterprise IT at a software or technology company. You'll need deep expertise in information security, risk management, and compliance frameworks, along with demonstrated success delivering large-scale transformation programs. Strong financial acumen is essential, as is experience evaluating and deploying AI and automation tools. This role requires someone who can communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical executives, influence across functions, and build and develop high-performing teams.
The position is contract-based and hybrid, based in Delaware. You'll partner closely with the CFO, General Counsel, and Security leadership to manage risk, support audits and certifications, and establish data governance capabilities that drive business decisions.
