About this role

Motive's Product Security Team is looking for a Red Team Security Engineer to conduct offensive security assessments and adversary simulations across the company's cloud environments. You'd partner with software and engineering teams to evaluate their security posture, identify attack paths through IAM misconfigurations and cloud service weaknesses, and validate whether detection and response processes actually catch these issues. The role also involves staying current on emerging attacker techniques and cloud exploitation trends to keep assessments relevant to real threats.

This position requires at least five years in offensive security, red teaming, or penetration testing, with solid knowledge of attacker tactics and frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK. You should be comfortable writing clear technical reports and explaining complex findings to non-security stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, or cloud security credentials are expected. The hybrid Nashville-based role offers a base salary of $140,000 to $190,000, with standard benefits and potential equity.
