The Team – Financial Services Business Solution Engineering
Highspring’s Financial Services Business Solution Engineering team helps financial institutions solve complex business problems that cross traditional functional boundaries. We bring together strategy, business architecture, finance and accounting, risk, operations, data, AI, and technology to design and deliver practical business solutions.
Our work spans the front, middle, and back office, from lending origination and servicing platforms to finance and subledger architecture, risk transformation, enterprise data platforms, and AI-enabled operations. We turn complex business problems into executable solutions by connecting people, process, data, technology, governance, and controls.
Your Impact
As a Senior Consultant, you will work directly with client and Highspring teams to understand complex business challenges, design solutions, and help move those solutions into execution.
You will:
- Break down ambiguous business problems into clear issues, hypotheses, analyses, and actions.
- Assess current-state business processes, capabilities, operating models, controls, data, and enabling technologies.
- Design future-state solutions across people, process, data, technology, governance, and controls.
- Map end-to-end business processes and platform operating models, identifying interaction models, handoffs, dependencies, control points, and opportunities to simplify how work gets done.
- Support the design and modernization of lending origination, underwriting, servicing, payments, deposits, models, treasury, and other financial services platforms.
- Help design finance architectures spanning operational platforms, subledgers, general ledgers, consolidation, and financial and regulatory reporting.
- Assess and design how enterprise data platforms support business processes, reporting, analytics, risk management, AI, and decision-making.
- Translate business needs into data products, data requirements, integration patterns, semantic models, reporting requirements, and governance expectations.
- Understand how modern cloud and data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and similar technologies can enable broader business solutions.
- Identify opportunities to redesign processes using AI, enterprise agents, workflow automation, and low-code technologies such as Microsoft Power Automate.
- Help design enterprise agents that connect data, workflow, and business rules to automate information retrieval, case management, exception handling, reporting, controls, and employee decision support.
- Translate business requirements into process, functional, data, control, and technology requirements that implementation teams can execute.
- Develop capability models, target operating models, process maps, business requirements, data requirements, decision rights, and implementation roadmaps.
- Help clients establish OKRs, KPIs, and performance-management frameworks that connect strategic objectives to measurable business outcomes.
- Support risk transformation across operational risk, enterprise risk, controls, regulatory change, resilience, and first- and second-line operating models.
- Support complex transformation programs, including M&A integration, finance transformation, regulatory change, enterprise data, AI, and technology modernization.
- Participate in client workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, and executive presentations.
- Build executive-ready analyses, recommendations, business cases, and implementation plans.

We are looking for people who are comfortable solving problems that do not come with a predefined answer.

- Strong structured problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand how business processes, operating models, data, controls, and technology platforms work together.
- Experience translating business needs into requirements, solution designs, or implementation plans.
- Experience supporting business or technology transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to modern enterprise data platforms, cloud architectures, analytics, AI, automation, or workflow technologies.

About this role
MorganFranklin Consulting's Financial Services Business Solution Engineering team tackles complex, cross-functional challenges for major financial institutions—banks, insurers, asset managers, and fintechs. As a Senior Consultant, you would work directly with clients to diagnose ambiguous business problems, design solutions that integrate strategy, process, data, technology, and controls, and guide execution. The scope is broad: you might redesign lending platforms, architect finance systems, build enterprise data strategies, or identify automation opportunities using AI and modern cloud tools. You would translate messy business needs into clear requirements, develop target operating models and implementation roadmaps, and present findings to executives.
This role suits someone with 3+ years in consulting, financial services, transformation, or related fields who is comfortable with structured problem-solving and can move fluidly between business process mapping, data architecture, technology assessment, and risk considerations. You need strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, and genuine curiosity about how emerging technology reshapes financial services operations. A relevant degree (business, accounting, finance, information systems, data analytics, or technology) is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred, as is direct experience in banking, insurance, wealth management, or fintech.
The position is full-time, in-office at one of five locations (McLean, Nashville, Atlanta, Chicago, Charlotte, or Raleigh), with a salary range of $109,941 to $161,492 and a travel expectation of at least 25%.
