About this role

Make-A-Wish America is seeking a Director of Chapter Relationship Leadership to serve as a strategic bridge between its national office and local chapters. In this role, you'll assess chapter performance across operations, finance, and mission delivery, then partner with chapter leadership to design and implement targeted improvement strategies. You'll monitor KPIs, introduce best practices, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration to strengthen overall organizational effectiveness while helping chapters meet their annual goals.

This position demands deep expertise in federated nonprofit structures—you'll need at least seven years in that environment, plus a track record in performance management or strategic consulting. You should be equally comfortable analyzing financial statements and coaching leadership teams, with particular strength in identifying operational inefficiencies and building consensus around solutions. The role requires someone who can communicate clearly with board members and frontline staff alike, navigate conflict constructively, and influence change across a distributed network.

The position is remote within the continental U.S., though hybrid work from the Phoenix area is available. Expect to travel 20–25% to chapters and national meetings, and be prepared for occasional work outside standard business hours. The salary range is $115,000–$144,000, with benefits starting day one.
