About this role
LightFeather is hiring a Senior ServiceNow CMDB Engineer to support a federal program where you'll own the full lifecycle of ServiceNow development—from CMDB implementation and data governance to custom application design and platform optimization. You'll work directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, manage integrations with third-party systems, and maintain rigorous development standards across ITSM modules, Service Catalog, and Discovery. This is a hands-on role that demands both depth in ServiceNow architecture and the communication skills to bridge technical and business teams.
The position requires at least five years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, a ServiceNow Certified Application Developer credential, and strong JavaScript scripting across both server and client layers. You'll need an active Secret clearance (Top Secret required); U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to federal contract requirements. Experience implementing or maturing a CMDB, building Service Catalog workflows, and working in Agile environments is essential. Preferred qualifications include ServiceNow CIS certifications, prior federal or defense contracting work, and familiarity with NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks.
Based in Washington, D.C. on a hybrid schedule, this full-time role offers $180,000–$200,000 annually depending on experience.
