Description

About Jetson

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy use. We believe in a future that is 100% electric and 100% better.

Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, yet adoption of solutions like heat pumps remains slow due to cost and complexity. Jetson is solving this by building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company — making clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable.

We rely heavily on technology, automation, and data to scale this impact. At Jetson, we value people who are excellent at their craft, curious about new tools (including AI), and motivated to continuously improve how work gets done.

The Opportunity

Ready to do the most meaningful electrical work of your career? At Jetson, we're on a mission to get every home off gas — and Dallas is one of the best places in the country to make that happen. As one of our first boots on the ground in Texas, you won't just be running wire: you'll be helping us build the playbook. You'll work alongside a tight-knit install team to remove gas furnaces, bring in electric heat pump systems, and collaborate directly with our engineering team to sharpen our process and push our product forward. If you're the kind of electrician who takes pride in clean work, loves solving problems in the field, and wants to be part of something bigger than a service call — this is your seat at the table.

What You'll Do:

  • Install all electrical infrastructure required to support heat pump systems — done right, on every job
  • Perform load calculations and design code-compliant solutions that actually work in the real world
  • Upgrade main electrical panels as needed, including smart panels, splitters, and sub-panel configurations
  • Pull permits and own the inspection process end-to-end across GA jurisdictions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues on-site and perform necessary repairs with speed and precision
  • Coordinate with HVAC install crews and collaborate across trade lines to keep jobs moving efficiently
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and flag issues before they become problems
  • Test electrical systems for functionality, performance, and code compliance
  • Spot recurring inefficiencies in the install process and bring solutions to the team
  • Maintain strict compliance with NEC and local electrical codes

What You Bring:

  • Master Electrician license
  • Deep residential install experience, including service upgrades, panel work, and large load additions (heat pumps, EV chargers, etc.)
  • Fluency in modern panel technology — smart panels (Span, Leviton, Schneider, etc.), splitters, and sub-panel configurations
  • Ability to perform accurate load calculations using standard and optional methods
  • Comfort working in older homes and navigating the surprises that come with legacy wiring
  • Experience coordinating with HVAC crews or working on multi-trade jobs
  • Solid troubleshooting instincts — you diagnose problems methodically and fix them cleanly
  • Physical stamina for hands-on residential install work
  • Valid driver's license
  • Follows OSHA Electrical Standard
  • Follows the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standard
  • Prior experience with heat pump or HVAC-related electrical installs (preferred)
  • Familiarity with cold-climate heat pump systems (preferred)
  • Experience on gas-to-electric conversion projects (preferred)
  • Actively staying current on electrification codes and equipment trends (preferred)

About this role

Jetson is building a vertically integrated home electrification company, and this role puts you at the center of that mission in Dallas — one of the company's first major markets. You'll install the electrical infrastructure that powers heat pump systems, handling everything from panel upgrades and load calculations to permitting and inspections. This isn't routine service work; you'll be collaborating directly with Jetson's engineering team to refine installation processes, troubleshooting real-world challenges in older homes, and helping establish how the company scales across the region.

The role demands a Master Electrician license and substantial residential experience with service upgrades, panel work, and high-load additions. You'll need fluency in modern smart panel systems (Span, Leviton, Schneider), solid load calculation skills, and the ability to work seamlessly with HVAC crews on multi-trade jobs. Experience with heat pump or gas-to-electric conversion projects is preferred but not required if you have the core fundamentals and the drive to learn.

Compensation is $37–46 per hour plus a $1,000 monthly permit stipend. Benefits include fully covered dental, vision, and life insurance; 85% health insurance coverage; parental leave top-up; and 401k. Jetson provides tools, uniforms, and lunch on-site. This is a full-time, in-person position in Dallas for someone who takes pride in clean work, solves problems methodically, and wants to contribute to something larger than individual jobs.
