About this role

Ascension's pediatric respiratory therapy role in Pensacola involves direct patient care across the full scope of respiratory practice. You'll assess children's respiratory needs, design and implement treatment plans, manage equipment, monitor patient progress, and educate families about their conditions and available resources. The position also requires you to respond to emergency codes and evaluate treatment outcomes to refine care delivery.

To qualify, you'll need Florida respiratory therapist credentials before your start date and BLS certification within your first month. The minimum education requirement is a high school diploma plus two years of relevant experience, though an associate degree or four years of specialized experience also satisfies this. Previous pediatric experience is preferred but not mandatory.

This is a full-time, in-office position within Ascension, a large nonprofit Catholic health system. The role suits someone with respiratory therapy credentials who is ready to work in an acute care pediatric setting and wants to be part of a larger healthcare organization.
