About this role

HP Hood, a major food and beverage manufacturer with brands like Hood and Lactaid, is seeking an HR Generalist for their Concord office on a contract basis. This role covers the full spectrum of HR administration—from recruitment and onboarding through benefits management, compliance, and employee relations. You'd handle hiring and interviewing, maintain affirmative action programs and government reporting, administer performance reviews and salary programs, and manage benefits enrollment and wellness activities. The position also involves training managers on HR best practices and advising on employee issues, plus coordinating company events and internal communications.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and skilled at managing confidential information and complex filing systems. You'll need strong written and verbal communication abilities and solid computer proficiency. An associate degree is preferred, though a bachelor's degree is a plus. This is a hands-on generalist role suited to someone who can balance compliance and policy work with the interpersonal side of HR—from resolving employee concerns to fostering engagement through company activities and communications.

The contract position offers a salary of $65,000 to $75,000 and includes HP Hood's competitive benefits package: health, dental, vision, wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and advancement opportunities. This is an in-office role with no remote flexibility.
