About Iris
Participate or perish. It’s not just our rallying cry – it’s a creative imperative. Iris is the global creative micro-network built for brands that refuse to blend in. Powered by Participation, and brought to life across paid, earned and owned media, our agency model is big enough to be dangerous, small enough to stay agile. Founded outside the ad establishment in 1999, Iris has always been defined by its outsider mindset – one that still drives our mission today.
We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and recruit on talent alone, regardless of age, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, education, class, sexual orientation or disability. We champion diversity and believe it not only benefits, but enhances our creativity, our company and the wider society at large.

About this role
Iris Comm Lab is seeking a motion design intern for their Atlanta office to work on real client projects alongside their in-house creative team. Over eight weeks, you'll attend agency meetings, collaborate on multimedia campaigns for established brands, and contribute meaningfully to the work rather than handling administrative tasks. You'll report to the Motion Designer/Head of Design and have the chance to present your contributions to leadership before the internship concludes.
The role requires proficiency in Adobe's creative suite—After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator—plus a portfolio that demonstrates solid craft fundamentals and a clear visual point of view. Background in motion design, animation, or editing is expected, and experience with Blender or Cinema 4D is a bonus. You'll work three days per week in the Atlanta office (Tuesday through Thursday) on a hybrid basis at $18 per hour. This internship suits self-motivated designers who are comfortable moving quickly, learning on the job, and diving into real briefs with a team that values both creative ambition and execution.
