Description
The Opportunity
We recently launched a new brand visual identity and are looking for a Senior Designer to help bring it to life across the organization. This is not a traditional graphic design role. You will partner with Marketing and the Creative Director to translate the new identity into a scalable design system that shapes how the brand appears across presentations, thought leadership, reports, social media, events, digital communications, internal communications, and client-facing materials. The focus is not simply creating deliverables, but building the templates, standards, assets, and systems that enable consistent, sustainable brand application across every touchpoint.
What You'll Do
- Lead Brand Implementation: Translate and implement the new visual identity across key internal and external channels, assessing existing materials, evolving standards, and ensuring consistent application of the brand.
- Build Brand Systems & Templates: Create scalable templates, reusable design components, and visual standards that support consistency across presentations, reports, digital content, social media, events, and communications.
- Design & Execute: Produce high-quality design work across print, digital, presentation, social, and event materials while balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Develop Visual Assets: Build and manage the brand's visual asset library, define imagery and graphic standards, and create supporting motion graphics and multimedia assets.
- Create Long-Term Sustainability: Establish the documentation, governance, asset libraries, and processes needed to ensure the brand can be effectively maintained and extended over time.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 7+ years of experience in brand, visual, or graphic design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand implementation across multiple touchpoints.
- Expertise in typography, layout, composition, and information design.
- Experience developing design systems, templates, standards, and reusable frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Advanced PowerPoint design and template-building experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Figma.
- Ability to balance strategy, creativity, and production execution.
- Strong organization, project management, and attention to detail.
- Submission of a portfolio demonstrating design expertise and versatility across channels and formats.
Preferred
- Experience supporting a rebrand or visual identity rollout.
- Experience in consulting, professional services, B2B, technology, executive education, or corporate communications.
- Motion graphics experience.
- Experience managing digital asset libraries.
- Experience working with executive audiences.
- Experience building systems for both designers and non-designers.
Ideal Candidate
You are a systems thinker who enjoys building solutions that scale, combining strategic thinking with hands-on design execution. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing stakeholders through strong creative judgment, and creating work that is both visually compelling and highly practical.
What Success Looks Like
- Priority brand applications have been transitioned to the new identity.
- Existing templates have been intentionally retained, adapted, rebuilt, or retired.
- Presentation, document, social, and communication materials operate from consistent design systems.
- A robust library of templates, assets, imagery, and components is in place.
- The brand is expressed consistently across internal and external touchpoints.
- Teams have the guidance and tools needed to maintain the identity going forward.
- A roadmap exists for future implementation and evolution.

About this role
Gap International recently launched a new brand visual identity and needs a Senior Designer to establish the systems and standards that will sustain it across the organization. Rather than producing one-off deliverables, you'd partner with Marketing and the Creative Director to build scalable templates, reusable components, and governance frameworks that enable consistent brand application—from presentations and reports to social media, events, and client-facing materials. The role balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring you to assess existing materials, evolve standards, develop visual asset libraries, and create the documentation and processes that allow teams to maintain the brand effectively long-term.
This position calls for 7+ years of brand or graphic design experience, with a strong portfolio showing implementation across multiple channels. You'll need advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and PowerPoint, solid knowledge of Figma, and demonstrated expertise in building design systems, templates, and reusable frameworks. Experience supporting a rebrand, working in consulting or B2B environments, managing digital asset libraries, and designing for executive audiences would strengthen your candidacy. Motion graphics skills are a plus.
You'd thrive here if you're a systems thinker who enjoys solving problems that scale, comfortable balancing ambiguity with strong creative judgment, and skilled at influencing stakeholders. The role is in-office in Springfield, Pennsylvania and structured as freelance work.
