About this role
ASSYST is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to lead the analysis and implementation of a new Jail Management System for a public safety client. This is a hands-on role that bridges business and technology: you'll gather and validate system requirements from stakeholders and subject matter experts, map existing workflows to identify improvements, and translate those findings into functional specifications and design documents. The work spans the full project lifecycle, from initial assessment through post-production support, including developing test plans, facilitating user acceptance testing, and providing training and troubleshooting as the system goes live.
The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of systems analysis, change management, or project management experience, with a strong track record in Public Safety implementations. You'll need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and demonstrated expertise in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and technical documentation. Beyond the core skills, experience working directly with government entities and five or more years on Public Safety projects would be significant assets. This is an in-office position in Towson, Maryland, requiring the ability to work closely with diverse teams—developers, vendors, project managers, and end users—while managing sensitive information with discretion.
