About this role
AST SpaceMobile is building a satellite-based cellular broadband network designed to connect billions of unserved mobile users globally, and this Technical Project Manager role sits at the center of that mission within the Program Management Office. You would own the end-to-end execution of complex technical initiatives across the company's telecommunications ecosystem, coordinating engineering, operations, and product teams through planning, deployment, and operational handoff. The work spans multiple network domains and technology layers—from radio access networks to core infrastructure—requiring you to translate both technical and business requirements into actionable roadmaps while managing dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment at scale.
This position demands at least eight years of hands-on experience in telecommunications engineering, network delivery, or technical program management, ideally with exposure to large-scale integration and deployment projects for service providers or network operators. You'll need a strong foundation in telecom systems and networking concepts, though the preferred qualifications suggest particular value in candidates familiar with wireless, satellite, or next-generation communications, along with modern technologies like cloud-native systems and software-defined networking. A bachelor's degree in a technical field is required; PMP certification is a plus.
Beyond technical credibility, you'll need exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to influence alignment across competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role includes occasional travel to customer and operational sites, flexibility around critical milestones, and the ability to work across global time zones. This is an in-office position based in Dallas.
