About this role
Accenture Federal Services is looking for an experienced HR leader to architect and execute a modernized, AI-driven HR operating model. In this Associate Director role based in Arlington, you'd partner closely with the CIO organization to develop HR technology strategy, oversee the deployment of AI and automation across HR workflows, and lead teams in People Analytics and select HR service functions. The position sits at the intersection of HR transformation and technology strategy, requiring someone who can translate business needs into technology solutions while managing the organizational change required to make those solutions stick.
Success in this role hinges on your ability to simplify HR operations through intelligent automation, improve service quality and employee experience, and free up HR teams to focus on strategic work. You'll be measured on tangible outcomes: a jointly developed technology roadmap, measurable reductions in manual administrative work, improved HR service metrics, and analytics capabilities that genuinely inform workforce planning. This is not a traditional HR operations role—it demands deep experience leading technology-enabled transformation, influencing senior stakeholders across HR and IT, and navigating the complexities of federal contracting environments.
You'll need at least ten years of progressive HR leadership with proven success in technology initiatives and operating model transformation. Experience partnering with IT on platform selection, business case development, and implementation is essential. Ideally, you've deployed AI or automation to modernize HR processes and have led People Analytics or HR shared services teams. Federal contracting experience and familiarity with security, regulatory, and clearance requirements would strengthen your candidacy. The role is full-time, in-office in Arlington, with a salary range of $150,900 to $301,900.
