Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to manage our full-cycle accounts payable processes within our manufacturing operations. This role demands a strong foundation in core accounting fundamentals, including a solid grasp of debits, credits, and general ledger impacts. You will ensure financial accuracy through rigorous AP-to-GL reconciliations, vendor statement reviews, and proactive discrepancy resolution. Additionally, you will support our operational efficiency by participating in routine physical inventory counts. The ideal candidate balances strong analytical accounting skills with a collaborative mindset to bridge the gap between finance and shop floor inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Three-Way Matching: Review, code, and reconcile high-volume invoices against purchase orders and warehouse receiving logs.
- Accounting Fundamentals: Apply a strong understanding of debits, credits, and accruals to ensure expenses are coded correctly to the General Ledger (GL).
- Reconciliations: Perform routine reconciliations of vendor statements and ensure the sub-ledger aligns accurately with the accounts payable GL account.
- Discrepancy Research & Resolution: Investigate, track, and resolve complex billing variances, price discrepancies, and quantity mismatches by researching transaction histories.
- Inventory & Audit Support: Physically participate in routine cycle counts and comprehensive physical inventory audits on the production floor.
- Payment Execution: Prepare and execute weekly payment runs via ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, operations, and warehouse teams to optimize the receiving-to-payment cycle and manage supplier relations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of dedicated accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Core Accounting Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of general accounting principles, particularly debits/credits, GL account structures, and financial reconciliations.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to independently research ledger anomalies, audit vendor statements, and systematically resolve discrepancies.
- ERP Software: Proficiency with automated ERP systems (experience with SYSPRO is a major plus, but not required).
- Industry Context: Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Excel capabilities (data entry, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to safely navigate a manufacturing facility, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs during physical inventory counts.

About this role
CelLink Corporation, a well-funded automotive and energy systems manufacturer, is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to own the full cycle of invoice processing and vendor management within their Redwood City operations. You'll spend most of your time on three-way matching of high-volume invoices, reconciling vendor statements to the general ledger, and hunting down billing discrepancies—work that demands both precision and detective skills. The role also pulls you onto the production floor for physical inventory counts, so you'll need comfort navigating a manufacturing environment and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
This position suits someone with at least two years of AP or general accounting experience who has a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals and enjoys analytical problem-solving.
