Description
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
- Process sales transactions accurately and consistent with policies and procedures
- Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Maintain precise work order files and formulas
- Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
- Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications
- Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner
- Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles
- Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
- Comply with all laws, traffic regulations, safety procedures, etc., when driving a vehicle
- Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
- Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
Qualifications
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Have at least a High School diploma or GED
- Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
- Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish

About this role
At Sherwin-Williams' Baxter location, this role blends customer-facing sales work with hands-on delivery operations. You'll spend your time both in-store—helping customers select paint and coatings, processing transactions, and mixing products to specification—and on the road, delivering orders via company vehicle to job sites and customers. The position requires comfort moving between these two environments and managing both the interpersonal and logistical sides of the business.
The work is physically demanding and schedule-flexible. You'll regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70, pull inventory, load and unload vehicles, and operate equipment including forklifts and delivery trucks. Evening and weekend availability is expected. A valid, unrestricted driver's license is non-negotiable, as is being at least 21 and legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
This role suits someone with prior retail, delivery, or customer service experience—ideally with paint product knowledge—who can maintain sales targets, follow delivery routes on time, and handle the administrative side (work orders, reports, vehicle maintenance alerts).
