Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain low-sloped roof systems (TPO, PVC, BUR, modified bitumen, EPDM); 3+ years’ experience preferred.
- Operate tools and equipment including Leister welder and hot air gun.
- Follow job specs, warranties, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Create client reports via tablet and use technology for communication/receipts.
- Support Foreman with communication, training, and directing crew members.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Prior roofing or related trade experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Ability to operate handheld technology such as tablets and/or smartphones

RoofingSource is hiring a Journeyman in Kansas City to install and maintain low-sloped roof systems across multiple membrane types—TPO, PVC, BUR, modified bitumen, and EPDM. You'll operate specialized equipment like Leister welders and hot air guns, follow manufacturer specs and safety protocols, and document work through tablet-based client reports. The role involves hands-on installation and maintenance work alongside some crew support responsibilities, including communication and training as needed by the Foreman.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of roofing or related trade experience, though prior experience isn't strictly required. You'll need to be comfortable with handheld technology for reporting and communication, and able to work to quality and safety standards. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Kansas City, Kansas, with a salary range of $20–29 per hour.
