Job Description:

Tria Federal is seeking a Content Strategist to lead content architecture and strategy for an AI-powered resource assistant supporting a large-scale federal healthcare quality reporting program. As a member of Tria’s Human Experience (HX) Practice, you will work closely with the program’s content management team, product managers, researchers, and designers to structure, scale, and improve the content that people and AI systems rely on.

This is a content strategy role, not a content design role. You will focus on information architecture, content models, and the pipelines that move content from creation to publication, translating dense policy and complex medical terminology into structured, searchable content. You will also flex into UX design, research, and facilitation support as program needs evolve.

Must be a U.S. Citizen due to federal security clearance requirements.

Core Responsibilities: Content Strategy

  • Define information architecture, taxonomies, and content models that organize complex healthcare and policy content.
  • Build flexible content pipelines and publishing workflows in Drupal or a comparable CMS that scale content creation while supporting internal editorial processes.
  • Map internal editorial workflows and external customer research into the content types and data structures needed to support them.
  • Modernize manual workflows and static content into structured, searchable content, including content designed to be used by LLM-based tools.
  • Define and track reliable, repeatable metrics for content and product effectiveness, using basic quantitative analysis to guide decisions.
  • Contribute to product strategy and roadmap decisions for the AI-powered resource assistant, including what to build and why.
  • Partner with content management, product, research, and design teams, and contribute to HX playbooks, templates, and standards.

Flex Responsibilities: UX Support

  • Contribute to user flows, wireframes, and prototypes when design capacity is needed.
  • Support user research planning, usability testing, and synthesis.
  • Plan and facilitate client and internal product working sessions, from workshops to prioritization exercises.
  • Apply accessibility best practices, including Section 508 and WCAG 2.1+.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in content strategy, content architecture, or combined product and content strategy for complex digital products.
  • Demonstrated experience with information architecture, taxonomies, and content modeling.
  • Experience working in a content management system and with structured content and publishing workflows.
  • Experience translating research and editorial needs into content types and data structures.
  • Experience with basic quantitative data analysis and defining content or product metrics.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in Agile teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on Drupal experience.
  • Interest in LLMs, or experience building evaluation frameworks for LLM-based chatbots.
  • Familiarity with federal healthcare policy and quality reporting, including CMS policy changes and the move toward FHIR-based reporting.
  • Experience in federal or other highly regulated environments, including content with complex medical terminology.
  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Miro, Jira, and Confluence.

About this role

Tria Federal is building an AI-powered resource assistant for a major federal healthcare quality reporting program, and they need a Content Strategist to architect the information that both people and language models will depend on. You'd join the Human Experience Practice working across content, product, design, and research teams to transform dense healthcare policy and medical terminology into structured, searchable content that scales. The role is fundamentally about information architecture, content modeling, and publishing workflows—particularly in Drupal—rather than content creation or design, though you'd flex into UX support, research facilitation, and strategy conversations as the program evolves.

The position calls for someone with at least three years building content strategy or information architecture for complex digital products, with proven ability to translate research and editorial needs into content types and data structures. You'll need hands-on CMS experience, basic quantitative analysis skills to define and track content metrics, and strong facilitation abilities in Agile environments. Drupal expertise, familiarity with federal healthcare policy and FHIR-based reporting, or experience evaluating LLM-based tools would strengthen your candidacy, though aren't required.

This is a remote, full-time role requiring U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. It's suited for someone who finds structure and taxonomy intellectually satisfying, who can navigate stakeholder complexity in regulated environments, and who sees content as foundational infrastructure rather than an afterthought.
