The summer program provides all summer analysts with unique opportunities to:

Work alongside analysts, associates, and senior bankers across sector coverage groups over the course of the 9-week program

Take on all functions of a full-time analyst

Receive direct client exposure in a culture of collaboration and accountability
Qualifications:

Pursuing undergraduate bachelor’s degree with anticipated graduation between December 2027 - July 2028

Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above preferred (but open to all applicants)

Undergraduate major: all majors considered

General understanding of accounting and finance

Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

You are adaptable in an ever-changing environment and can manage through change with a high degree of emotional maturity

You are highly motivated, detail oriented, and thrive in a collaborative environment

Willingness to be located in San Francisco
Throughout the 9-week program, summer analysts are evaluated for opportunities in our full-time class, upon graduation.

William Blair's Enterprise Value Debt Summer Analyst program offers a nine-week immersion into investment banking through the firm's recently acquired Armentum Partners team in San Francisco. The role suits candidates pursuing an undergraduate degree with graduation between December 2027 and July 2028 who have strong quantitative and analytical abilities, proficiency in Excel and core Microsoft Office tools, and a solid grasp of accounting and finance fundamentals. While a 3.5 GPA is preferred, the firm welcomes applicants from all majors and backgrounds. You'll need to be adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, accountability-driven culture. U.S. work authorization is required; the firm does not sponsor visa candidates.
