About this role
Foxconn WI's NPI Product Engineer role sits at the intersection of design and manufacturing, guiding products from prototype through production ramp-up. You'll own technical deliverables across the full product lifecycle, working directly with design, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to solve real-time issues on the production floor. The work involves reviewing specifications and engineering changes for manufacturability, analyzing build data to identify and resolve defects, and ensuring products meet both design intent and production requirements.
This position calls for someone with a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline and at least two years of hands-on experience in product, manufacturing, or NPI environments. You'll need to read and interpret technical documentation fluently, think systematically through complex problems, and communicate findings across multiple departments. The role demands both analytical rigor—tracking issues, driving root cause analysis, and validating corrective actions—and practical floor presence during builds and ramp phases.
The position offers a standard benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401K with employer match, and paid time off. An onsite wellness center is available, and the company emphasizes continuous learning and career development in smart manufacturing. This is a full-time, in-office role based in SMC.
