About this role
A Vernon family is looking for a part-time nanny to care for their 20-month-old child on a flexible schedule—Fridays are fixed, with a second day negotiable. The role centers on interactive, developmentally appropriate care: planning activities like crafts and storytime, managing meals and daily routines, and light housekeeping tied to the child's needs. You'd also have the option to take the family's dog out during the day. The position offers potential to expand hours down the line if both parties are interested.
You'll need a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, since you may take the child to local outings like the park or storytimes. CPR certification is preferred but not required. Experience with toddlers aged 1–2 is a plus. The role pays $21–$23 per hour based on experience, plus mileage reimbursement for work-related driving. This is a direct hire with the family, not through an agency, and all candidates undergo a background check and must have legal authorization to work in the US.
