About this role
Sotheby's Data & Performance Operations team is seeking an analyst to bridge operations, analytics, and process improvement across the organization's global auction and sales business. You'd own the full lifecycle of operational reporting—gathering requirements from regional teams, building dashboards and KPIs, analyzing data to surface trends and inefficiencies, and translating findings into clear recommendations that drive decision-making. This is a hands-on role that goes beyond dashboard maintenance; it requires curiosity about how operational processes actually work and the ability to identify root causes of performance gaps.
The ideal candidate brings two to four years in operations, consulting, or similar execution-focused work, with strong Excel skills and a data-driven problem-solving mindset. SQL experience and familiarity with automation or workflow optimization tools are valued. You'll need to communicate complex analysis clearly to stakeholders across functions and regions, manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment, and take ownership of projects from scoping through delivery. Success here means helping operational teams work more efficiently and making it easier for them to see and act on their own performance.
This is a full-time, in-office role in New York with a base salary of $70,000–$75,000, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.
