About this role
Scout Motors is rebuilding an iconic American vehicle brand with electric and range-extended powertrains, and this role sits at the heart of making that supply chain economically viable. As an Analyst in Logistics Cost Management, you'd own the quantitative side of the company's sourcing and logistics strategy—developing cost models for transportation, warehousing, and packaging, running scenario analyses to identify optimal solutions, and delivering those findings to procurement, finance, and manufacturing teams in clear, actionable formats.
The work blends technical depth with cross-functional collaboration. You'll apply complex costing methodologies across multiple data sources, build dashboards and reports in Power BI, and actively hunt for automation opportunities to replace manual processes. Beyond steady-state analysis, you'll support sourcing decisions by evaluating logistics concepts and supplier options, then contribute to process improvements and digital transformation initiatives across the supply chain organization. This is analytical work with real operational impact—your cost estimates directly inform major sourcing milestones and business decisions.
You'll need two years of supply chain, logistics, transportation, or analytics experience and a relevant bachelor's degree (or equivalent work history). Strong Excel skills, Power BI experience, and solid quantitative problem-solving are table stakes. The role is based in Blythewood, South Carolina, requiring 4–5 days per week in the office with occasional travel for company events.
