About this role
Strata Critical (formerly Trinity Medical Solutions) operates the nation's largest organ donation and transplantation logistics network, and this on-demand driver role puts you directly in service of that mission. You'd provide ground transportation for surgical teams, medical specimens, and critical equipment on trips averaging 2 to 8 hours, with the flexibility of on-call scheduling. The work demands reliability, careful handling of time-sensitive cargo, and responsiveness to dispatch—you'd need to confirm availability within 10 minutes of a call and maintain constant communication with logistics coordinators.
The position requires a clean 39-month driving record, at least two years of driving experience, and a high school diploma or GED. You should be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting for extended periods, and managing the physical and mental demands of medical transport. Prior experience in medical transport or professional driving is valued but not required. The role is based in Sacramento and requires you to live within 30 minutes of the work location.
Compensation starts at $24.80 per hour, with an additional $2 per hour for night shifts between 6 PM and 6 AM. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage through Cigna, a 401k with 5% employer match, HSA and FSA options, employer-paid life insurance, and paid sick time. This is full-time work with genuine purpose—you'd be part of a team directly supporting life-saving transplant operations.
