About this role
JRC is seeking a Test Manager to oversee critical testing and integration activities for the U.S. Navy's Columbia and Dreadnought ballistic-missile submarine programs. You'll coordinate complex engineering work across shipyards, government offices, and multiple contractors, managing schedules, documentation, and day-to-day execution of Strategic Weapons System activities. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires you to facilitate meetings with diverse stakeholders, anticipate customer needs, and keep multiple workstreams aligned toward successful program delivery.
The role demands someone with at least four years of relevant experience in military systems production, construction, testing, or alteration—ideally with direct SSBN or Fleet Ballistic Missile program background. You'll need an active SECRET-level security clearance, a bachelor's degree, strong project planning and negotiation skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-contractor team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel are required. Shipyard construction experience and familiarity with the Strategic Systems Programs culture and practices would be significant advantages.
This is an in-office contract position based in Groton, Connecticut, suited to someone who understands undersea deterrence operations and wants direct involvement in shaping next-generation strategic capability for the Navy.
