About this role

Ascension's Labor and Delivery Nurse Intern position in Wichita offers hands-on clinical experience in one of healthcare's most dynamic settings. You'll work under preceptor supervision delivering direct patient care—monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and documenting observations that inform the care team's decisions. The role emphasizes safety and communication, requiring you to report clinical findings and diagnostic results while supporting the unit's operational needs through patient transport and environmental maintenance.

This internship is designed for someone actively pursuing nursing education. You must be accepted into or already enrolled in a nursing program at the time of hire, with classes beginning within 90 days. Ascension requires BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) obtained within your first month.
