Description
The Caturus platform founded by Kimmeridge – an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector – supports Kimmeridge’s overarching goal of providing low-cost energy on demand with the lowest carbon footprint.
Kimmeridge’s vision in creating Caturus is to build the only independent, fully integrated natural gas and LNG export platform in the U.S. through a combination of its upstream operations and via Commonwealth LNG, a 9.5 million tonnes per annum liquefied natural gas export terminal in southwestern Louisiana on the U.S. Gulf Coast. The combined entities are committed to delivering responsibly sourced, low-emission fuel to domestic and international markets.
Caturus is a Houston-based, private exploration and production company seeking to materially grow production through development of deep, high pressure, dry gas windows of the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk, as well as Haynesville formations located in Texas and Louisiana while maintaining a relentless focus on safety.
Commonwealth LNG was founded by industry veterans who decided to re-engineer the LNG construction model. Using proven best practices, Commonwealth is committed to building a world-class LNG export facility while focusing on safety, managing risk and achieving best-in-class environmental standards.

About this role
Caturus Management Services is building an integrated natural gas and LNG platform anchored by upstream operations in the Eagle Ford, Austin Chalk, and Haynesville formations, plus Commonwealth LNG's export terminal on the Gulf Coast. The Senior Completion Engineer role sits at the center of this operation, responsible for designing and optimizing well completions that drive both performance and economics across the company's deep, high-pressure dry gas assets. You would collaborate with drilling, production, reservoir, and field teams to refine completion and drill-out programs, apply engineering analysis to operational data, and develop the procedures and standards that guide execution in the field.
The position demands seven or more years in completion, drilling, or well operations engineering, with a strong preference for hands-on operator experience and familiarity with coil tubing, snubbing, or drill-out work. Eagle Ford or Haynesville background is particularly valued. Beyond technical depth, the role requires you to wear multiple hats: troubleshooting operational issues on location, generating AFEs and managing completion budgets, evaluating vendors and new technologies, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. You'll also be expected to champion safety practices and maintain the data quality and KPIs that inform decision-making across the organization.
This is an in-office, full-time role based in Houston that suits someone comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while staying accountable to a collaborative, ownership-minded culture. Success here hinges on strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels—from field personnel to engineering teams to senior leadership.
