About this role
Green Thumb Industries is hiring a Cultivation Technician at their Warwick facility to manage the full lifecycle of cannabis plants—from propagation through harvest and post-harvest processing. The role centers on hands-on plant care: topping, transplanting, defoliating, scouting for disease, and training plants according to company standards. You'll also handle harvest operations, including breaking down plants and preparing dry rooms, plus ongoing sanitation and equipment maintenance. This is physically demanding work in a warm, humid greenhouse environment (85+ degrees, 70% humidity) where you'll regularly lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights using ladders and catwalks, and be exposed to cannabis allergens.
Success in this position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a genuine commitment to compliance and safety protocols. The cannabis industry is heavily regulated, so you'll need to follow GMP standards, maintain accurate records, report hazards promptly, and obtain state badging (which includes a background check). Prior cannabis experience is not required—what matters is a self-motivated approach to precision plant care and a willingness to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. You must be at least 21, hold a valid state ID, and have a high school diploma or GED at minimum; relevant certifications or an associate degree would strengthen your candidacy.
