About this role
The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is seeking a Senior Paralegal to own complex family law cases from intake through trial across their 16-location Texas network. Based in Houston on a hybrid arrangement, you would independently manage high-conflict matters involving temporary orders, discovery, financial analysis, and trial preparation while serving as the primary client contact throughout litigation. This role demands strong case management skills, meticulous attention to pleadings and financial discovery, and the ability to coordinate with expert witnesses and attorneys to drive cases toward resolution.
You'll need a minimum of seven years of family law experience in Texas—ten years is preferred—along with an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent education, or ten-plus years of direct Texas experience in lieu of formal credentials. Proficiency with case management software like Clio and TxDoc, combined with solid MS Office skills and excellent communication abilities, is essential. The firm values paralegals who can handle emotionally charged situations with a calm, solutions-focused approach and are willing to mentor junior staff.
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with an attractive billable hour bonus plan paid biweekly that can add up to $35K annually. The package includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, disability and life insurance options, and a 401K with 5% match. The firm emphasizes work-life balance and positions this role as a genuine career platform rather than purely administrative support.
