Description
Background
Nourish is expanding its clinical model to include behavioral health care as part of our fully integrated metabolic care offering. We are now seeking Licensed Therapists for both full-time and part-time roles.
In this role, you will help power a deeply coordinated care team, partnering with registered dietitians (RDs), nurse practitioners (NPs), physicians, and care operations, to deliver comprehensive, longitudinal support to patients. You'll provide therapy to patients navigating chronic disease and behavior change; support emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs that affect metabolic outcomes; and help ensure patients receive the right intervention at the right time. We handle all administrative, insurance, billing, patient acquisition, and scheduling so you can focus entirely on high-quality, thoughtful therapy and supporting meaningful lifestyle and behavior change.
About Us
Nourish was founded to address a fundamental failure in the U.S. healthcare system: the rapid rise of chronic disease, which affects hundreds of millions of Americans and drives the majority of healthcare spending. Nourish has built the largest insurance-covered nutrition therapy platform in the country, connecting 10,000+ registered dietitians with patients nationwide through a seamless AI-native experience.
We are now building the next chapter of Nourish: an integrated metabolic care model that brings together nutrition, lifestyle, behavioral interventions, and physician-led medical management into a single coordinated patient experience. If you're passionate about integrated care and excited to transform the healthcare system, we'd love to work with you.
Our Clinical Philosophy
Our approach to care is grounded in meeting patients where they are and using evidence-based practices to drive long-term lifestyle, behavioral, and metabolic change. Our interdisciplinary care team provides personalized, in-depth, expert-level care to patients from any and all backgrounds. We measure quality of outcomes against each patient's individual goals, coordinate seamlessly across care teams (RDs, NPs, physicians, behavioral health providers, outside providers), and continuously refine our approach through data, feedback, and innovation.
Why Join Nourish
- Help solve a massive problem - hundreds of millions of Americans have metabolic conditions (diabetes, obesity, fatty liver, heart disease risk), yet most do not receive comprehensive, coordinated care
- Flexible schedule - you set your own hours around your weekly availability commitment (25+ hours full-time, 5+ hours part-time) and practice fully remotely
- W2 employment with benefits - 401(k), paid time off, and an education stipend. Full-time therapists also receive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Start seeing patients fast - on average, therapists joining Nourish start seeing patients in just one week, and our dedicated onboarding and credentialing teams will be with you every step of the way.
- Focus on patients, not paperwork - our administrative team supports credentialing, billing, patient acquisition, and care-team coordination so you can focus on delivering care
- Be a core part of a connected, holistic care team - collaborate closely with dietitians, physicians, and care coordinators to deliver integrated, whole-person care that drives meaningful outcomes
- Grow as a clinician - you'll be part of a collaborative, rapidly growing team, with opportunities for professional development, leadership, and innovation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral health care to patients using an evidence-based, patient-centric approach, demonstrating strong clinical and counseling skills and leading with empathy and kindness
- Conduct virtual visits and manage a caseload consistent with full-time or part-time role expectations
- Document patient encounters, coordinate follow-up care, and review comprehensive care plans
- Support individualized care pathways by addressing behavioral, emotional, and psychological barriers to sustained lifestyle and metabolic change
- Collaborate closely with RDs, NPs, physicians, and other care team members to integrate behavioral health support into comprehensive care plans
- Use data and feedback to continuously improve care delivery, patient outcomes, and team coordination
- Serve patients with high standards of personal and professional integrity and ethics, with the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active, independent, and unrestricted clinical license in the U.S. (LCSW / LPC / LMFT / or equivalent); multi-state licensure is a strong plus, and Nourish will support additional state licensure where needed
- Experience with telehealth
- Experience supporting patients with behavior change, chronic disease, or related clinical needs (e.g., stress, anxiety/depression, emotional eating, motivation, adherence)
- Excited to work in a team-based telehealth/virtual care environment
- Strong clinical judgment, empathy, excellent communication skills, and commitment to evidence-based practice and long-term behavioral change
- Ability to integrate with a multidisciplinary care team (RDs, NPs, physicians, etc.) and leverage technology to support care delivery

About this role
Nourish is building an integrated metabolic care model that combines nutrition, lifestyle, and behavioral interventions with physician-led medical management. As a Behavioral Health Therapist in this part-time remote role, you'd provide therapy to patients managing chronic disease and behavior change, working alongside registered dietitians, nurse practitioners, and physicians to deliver coordinated, longitudinal care. Your focus would be on addressing the emotional, behavioral, and mental health barriers—such as stress, anxiety, emotional eating, and motivation—that directly affect patients' metabolic outcomes and ability to sustain lifestyle change.
You'll need an active, unrestricted clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) and prior experience supporting patients through behavior change or chronic disease management via telehealth. The part-time commitment starts at 5+ hours weekly, with flexibility to set your own schedule. Nourish handles all credentialing, billing, insurance, patient acquisition, and scheduling, so your time goes directly to clinical work and care coordination rather than administrative tasks. You can expect to start seeing patients within about a week of joining.
This role suits clinicians who are drawn to team-based, whole-person care and want to work within a system designed to reduce fragmentation in how chronic disease is managed. You'd be part of a growing clinical operation tackling a significant gap in U.S. healthcare: most Americans with metabolic conditions lack access to truly integrated, coordinated support.
