About this role
Ascension's plastics and hand surgery clinic in Austin is seeking a registered nurse to serve as a clinical leader and primary resource for nursing standards within the specialty. You would develop individualized care plans for patients, oversee therapy program delivery, and ensure the clinic has the equipment and resources needed for optimal recovery. Beyond direct patient care, you'd mentor nursing staff and maintain documentation standards that support both safety and quality outcomes.
The role requires an active Texas RN license and BLS certification (obtained within 30 days of hire). While a nursing diploma or bachelor's degree is the baseline education requirement, Ascension also accepts candidates with a bachelor's degree in another field who hold an active RN license and are enrolled in an Alternate Entry Master's in Nursing program with at least one year completed. The position favors candidates with three to five years of active RN experience, though this is preferred rather than required.
This is a full-time, in-office position within Ascension, a large nonprofit Catholic health system recognized as a top workplace for healthcare professionals and military-friendly employers.
