About this role

Ascension's pediatric critical care float position in Austin offers experienced nurses the opportunity to deliver specialized care across multiple specialty units within a large Catholic health system. The role demands strong clinical assessment and coordination skills, with responsibility for implementing individualized care plans, executing orders, and serving as a liaison among interdisciplinary teams. You'll need to be comfortable adapting quickly between different units while maintaining rigorous documentation and communication standards.

The position requires a current Texas RN license and BLS certification within your first month. ACLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications must be obtained within six months of hire. While a BSN and four or more years of inpatient pediatric experience are preferred rather than required, this background would be valuable given the critical care setting. This is a full-time, in-office role at a nonprofit health system recognized for workplace culture and support.
