About this role
Ascension's Nashville cardiology practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work Monday through Friday with no on-call requirements. You would split your time between inpatient support—working alongside physicians to manage hospitalized cardiac patients—and outpatient clinic, where you'd build and manage your own patient panel. The role emphasizes clinical collaboration, so you'd partner closely with physicians on patient coordination while maintaining independent responsibility for assessments, diagnostics, treatment decisions, and patient education.
To qualify, you need a master's degree in nursing and an active NP license; BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must be obtained within your first month. No prior cardiology experience is required. Ascension describes itself as a physician-led, mission-centered Catholic health system with a collaborative culture, local autonomy within a national network, and access to ambient listening AI technology for documentation support. The organization is recognized as a Best Place to Work in Healthcare and a Military-Friendly employer.
