About this role
Energy 350 is hiring a field-based specialist to connect indoor agriculture operators—primarily cannabis growers—with energy efficiency incentives and projects through the Energy Trust of Oregon. You'd split your time between Portland's SE office and customer sites across the Willamette Valley (25–40% travel), building relationships with grow operators, contractors, and vendors while identifying opportunities to reduce energy use in lighting and dehumidification systems. The work blends technical assessment, project management, and outreach: you'll evaluate sites, manage pipelines in Salesforce, coordinate between internal teams and external partners, and help overcome adoption barriers.
This role suits someone with a technical background—an engineering or technical degree is strongly preferred—who understands grow lighting and dehumidifier systems and ideally has prior experience in the cannabis or indoor agriculture sector. You'll need strong organizational skills, comfort with CRM and Microsoft tools, and genuine enthusiasm for field engagement. The position rewards self-starters who can work independently, communicate clearly across diverse audiences, and solve practical problems collaboratively.
The contract position offers a base salary of $75,000–$115,000 depending on experience, plus annual bonus and profit sharing eligibility. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) with 4% match, paid time off, parental leave, and a home office stipend. After an onboarding period, remote work is available. Energy 350 emphasizes work-life balance and describes itself as mission-driven and casual yet focused.
