About this role

Accredited Labs' Tescom division is looking for a calibration technician to work independently in their San Antonio lab, performing precision calibrations across a broad range of physical and dimensional instruments—from calipers and micrometers to pressure gauges, scales, torque tools, and pH meters. You'll be responsible for the full calibration lifecycle: conducting accurate measurements, performing acceptance evaluations on new equipment, maintaining calibration standards, troubleshooting and repairing instruments, and ensuring all work meets Z540.1 and ISO 17025:2017 standards. The role also involves direct customer contact to provide updates and answer questions, plus meticulous record-keeping and documentation.

The ideal candidate has formal calibration training or equivalent hands-on experience in physical/dimensional work—whether through military PMEL certification, a technical associate's degree, or at least three years in a commercial ISO-accredited lab. You'll need solid troubleshooting skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to handle equipment safely according to manufacturer specs. Since you'll service a variety of Central Texas customers across different industries, adaptability and strong communication matter. The position requires you to be physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods, plus a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

This is a full-time, in-office role with a standard benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and company-provided equipment.
